In our firm we have always paid great attention to the experimentation of new projects. The experience acquired as the builders of storage plants for chairs or cars on automatic hooking systems was the stepping-stone for the implementation of a new storage plant of our own. The result was an innovative product which has brought many advantages, such as room saving (40% less room), engine saving (45% less power), an easier and lighter construction system (30% lighter), an easier and quicker assembly system, a smoother planning method - by using a few standard components - and, last but not least, a better system for synchronising movement.
This was made possible thanks to the development of a special chain whose feature is to change its step, lengthening or shortening it at all the pre-established points of the plant. The advantage of this system is that chairs can be nearer in straight line sections and farther away in bends.
The plant which you can see in the pictures has been implemented for enduring all crash tests, such as component wear tests, loading tests and reliability tests. The result we obtained was just reward for our efforts. We simulated six-year continuous working conditions of the plant and no anomalies or yielding signs were observed.
